Former pharmacy director for Beth Israel Medical Center pleads guilty in theft of oxycodone pills: License forfeited

Bridget G. Brennan, New York City’s Special Narcotics Prosecutor, announced today the guilty plea of ANTHONY D’ALESSANDRO, former Director of Pharmacy Services for Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan, to four counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree.

Under the terms of the plea, D’ALESSANDRO is expected to receive a sentence of five years in prison, followed by five years post-release supervision. He forfeited his pharmaceutical license earlier this month. Following the plea, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Bonnie G. Wittner remanded D’ALESSANDRO, who had been out on a $500,000 bail bond. Four indicted for drug trafficking in Coney Island and Williamsburg, Brooklyn: 34 narcotics and firearm charges

Bridget G. Brennan, New York City’s Special Narcotics Prosecutor, and William J. Bratton, New York City Police Commissioner, today announced a 34-count indictment charging four individuals with drug trafficking in the vicinity of Sea Rise, a privately-owned housing development in Coney Island, and Williams Plaza, a New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) complex in Williamsburg, as well as one firearm sale.

A long-term investigation by the New York City Police Department’s (NYPD) Narcotics Borough Brooklyn South was sparked by community complaints and incidents of drug and gang-related violence in the vicinity of Sea Rise in Coney Island.

Bronx-to-Suffolk Heroin Ring Busted: A pair of Deer Park brothers indicted as Major Traffickers

Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota joined by the Special Narcotics Prosecutor for the City of New York, Bridget G. Brennan, and the DEA Special Agent in Charge James J. Hunt, announced the dismantling of a heroin distribution network led by two Deer Park brothers, Winston and Uriel Rose, who over a six week period purchased from their Bronx supplier 20,200 bags of heroin to sell to  heroin users and heroin dealers in western Suffolk County.
