Narcotics cops find 121 pounds of cocaine as they bust distribution ring at Diamond District jewelry store

N.Y. DAILY NEWS - Authorities struck white gold in the Diamond District.

When law enforcement looked into a fake jewelry business Thursday, they found plenty of real cocaine instead — 121 pounds of nose candy worth $1.7 million, officials said.

A joint probe between New York and Los Angeles law enforcement agencies honed in on a fake California business called Sapphire, and the phony 21 Divine based in the Diamond District in Midtown. The New York drug enforcement task force suspected a cocaine distribution ring was using the purported business as a front to get the narcotics.

Sisters cuffed by NYPD — just days after landlord posts ‘Beware! Drug Dealers Downstairs’ sign

SILive.com - Just days after a New Dorp Beach landlord hung a large sign outside her home proclaiming "Beware! Drug Dealers Downstairs," authorities conducted a raid and arrested two sisters on drug-sale charges.

Linda and Christine Genise, both 52, are being arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court on Friday after they were apprehended on Thursday afternoon in the vicinity of their apartment on the 100 block of Roma Avenue by the NYPD Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Strike Force.

Couple Lands at JFK Airport With $250,000 Worth of Heroin Hidden in Speaker, Whiskey Gift Box: Authorities

NBC New York - A couple flying into New York's John F. Kennedy Airport from the Dominican Republican attempted to conceal $250,000 worth of heroin in a whiskey gift box and a large speaker, authorities say.

Andres Uribe Rebolledo and his girlfriend Yuly Valencia Sanchez, both Colombian citizens, landed at JFK from Punta Cana Sunday with a Glenmorangie-brand whiskey gift box and a Marshall-brand speaker, Customs and Border Protection says.
