KELLY announced today the indictment and arrest of 11 members of a drug ring that trafficked in prescription painkillers and cocaine in Brooklyn and Staten Island.

Correction Officer convicted of drug possession, conspiracy, bribery and official misconduct

BRIDGET G. BRENNAN, New York City’s Special Narcotics Prosecutor, announced today the conviction of ROBERT WHITFIELD, a Correction Officer with the New York City Department of Correction, on charges of drug possession, conspiracy, bribery and official misconduct.

WHITFIELD, 50, was convicted on all counts following a six-day jury trial before Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Bonnie G. Wittner. Sentencing is expected to take place on June 21.

D’AMICO, Superintendent of the New York State Police, announced today the indictment of three drug traffickers on charges stemming from the seizure of 4.5 kilos of heroin (approximately 10 lbs.) and 4 kilos of methamphetamine (approximately 9 lbs.).
