Narcotics cops find 121 pounds of cocaine as they bust distribution ring at Diamond District jewelry store

N.Y. DAILY NEWS - Authorities struck white gold in the Diamond District.

When law enforcement looked into a fake jewelry business Thursday, they found plenty of real cocaine instead — 121 pounds of nose candy worth $1.7 million, officials said.

A joint probe between New York and Los Angeles law enforcement agencies honed in on a fake California business called Sapphire, and the phony 21 Divine based in the Diamond District in Midtown. The New York drug enforcement task force suspected a cocaine distribution ring was using the purported business as a front to get the narcotics.
