Staten Island fights opioid epidemic with website that offers help to drug victims

Daily News - Staten Island officials on Monday unsheathed a new weapon in the battle against the opioid crisis.

In the first three months of 2017, pills and heroin claimed at least 17 Staten Island lives — one every six days. Last year, Staten Island officially recorded 90 fatal opioid overdoses — though many believe the number is even higher.
