The defendants include members of multiple, interconnected, street-level drug organizations and their common supplier, who allegedly sold heroin laced in at least certain cases with fentanyl analogues under the brand name “American Dream.” During the investigation, police learned of three drug overdoses, including two fatal overdoses and one non-fatal overdose, believed to be linked to narcotics bearing this brand name.
